Five Napoli Players Called Up By Roberto Mancini

On Friday, the FIGC released Roberto Mancini’s call-ups for Italy’s Nations League matches later this month. Among the 29-man squad are five Napoli players: Alex Meret, Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Matteo Politano, Giacomo Raspadori and Alessio Zerbin. The squad will meet at the Federal Technical Centre in Coverciano on Sunday the 18th of September. They will stay there until the 22nd before traveling to Milan, where the Azzurri will play England the following day From there, the Azzurri will head to Budapest to play against Hungary on the 26th. Hungary are currently top of Group 3, League A on seven points.…

Enrico Giannini and Leonardo Rossi each scored their first of the UEFA Youth League, but it wasn't enough as Napoli Primavera lost 3-2 to Rangers U19, the Azzurrini's second hard-fought defeat of the tournament. Rangers opened the scoring only 10 minutes into the match. MacKenzie Strachan fired in a rebound after Valerio Boffelli punched away a Rangers free kick. On Monday, the Cameroon Football Federation announced the 26-man squad for the upcoming international break. The Indomitable Lions will play friendlies against Uzbekistan and South Korea in preparation for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Curiously, SSC Napoli midfielder, André-Frank Zambo Anguissa was not included in the squad, despite having an excellent start to the 2022/23 campaign. Meanwhile, Kim Min-jae and Leo Østigård have been called up to the South Korea and Norway national teams, respectively.
