On Sunday, UEFA's Technical Observer panel named Khvicha Kvaratskhelia as the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League Young Player of the Season. Kvaratskhelia, who was also named the Serie A MVP, made nine appearances in this season's Champions League, scoring two goals and tallying four assists.

On Monday, SSC Napoli confirmed that Gianluca Gaetano suffered a fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his left foot during Sunday’s match against Sampdoria. The Napoli midfielder, who registered three shots on target within minutes of entering the match, will undergo surgery within the next few days. The recovery time is expected to be 6-8 weeks.

On Tuesday, Lega Serie A issued Official Communication No. 233 for the 37th round of matches of the 2022/23 Serie A campaign contested between the 26th and 28th of May. On Tuesday, two Napoli players were the recipients of awards from The Athletic. Victor Osimhen was named Serie A Player of the Year and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was named Serie A Young Player of the Year. The awards were hosted online by The Athletic journalist and broadcaster Adam Leventhal.
