On Friday, the municipal council of the Metropolitan City of Naples approved a budget of €2 million to carry out extraordinary maintenance of the Stadio Maradona. The works are intended to improve safety, energy efficiency and accessibility. An additional €374,000 has been allocated for improvements to washrooms for people with disabilities. As reported by Rai News, the prefect of Milano, Renato Saccone, has prohibited the sale of tickets to residents of Campania for Wednesday’s match between Inter Milan and Napoli. The decision was taken after an assessment by the Security Analysis Committee for safety of sporting events, who “recognised the concrete danger of violent actions by the extreme fringes of ultra supporters, suggesting to the prefect the preventive measure of adopting the ban on the sale of tickets to residents of Campania.” Tickets already purchased by residents of Campania will be canceled and refunded. On Monday, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was named the best Georgian footballer at the GFF Awards 2022.
