On July 2nd, the Chicago Red Stars announced the signing of ex-Napoli central defender Emily Garnier. With the move, Garnier returns home to the United States of America. Prior to moving to Europe, the Colorado native played for four years with the Colorado School of Mines. During her time there, Garnier won the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year. Napoli Femminile confirmed the club’s coaching staff on Saturday. Working alongside head coach Dimitri Lipoff will be: Assistant Coach, Pasquale Illiano; Goalkeeper Coach, Andrea Cerboneschi; and Team Manager, Manuela De Luca.
