On Tuesday, the Slovak Football Association officially announced the appointment of Francesco Calzona as the new Head Coach of the Slovakia national team. Calzona worked at Napoli as an assistant to Maurizio Sarri from 2015 to 2018 and as a technical assistant to Luciano Spalletti during the 2021/22 campaign, where he worked with with Slovakia national team players Marek Hamsik and Stanislav Lobotka.
