On Friday, Lega Serie A announced the winners of the annual Serie A awards and not surprisingly, Napoli were the recipients of numerous awards:
- With a massive gap ahead of his nearest rival, Luciano Spalletti earned the honours of Best Coach;
- Kim Min-Jae became the second Napoli player to win the Best Defender award, after his predecessor Kalidou Koulibaly;
- Victor Osimhen was named the Best Striker of Serie A, continuing the trend of the Capocannoniere winning in this category; and
- Khvicha Kvaratskhelia earned the honours of League MVP.
Giovanni Di Lorenzo, who was also nominated for the Best Defender award, was named to the EA Sports Serie A Team of the Season, along with Kim, Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia.
Lega Serie A President Luigi De Siervo commented on the league debutant winning the MVP award.
“Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s impact on the league has been impressive. Congratulations to Napoli for having brought to Italy this talent, who from the very first matches showed off his repertoire of technique, dribbling, personality and creativity. With 12 goals and 10 assists, Kvaratskhelia was one of the leading players for the Azzurri, who won the Scudetto and made many fans and lovers of beautiful football dream”.
