The UEFA Champions League Quarter-final and Semi-final draw was conducted at the House of European Football in Switzerland on Friday. SSC Napoli was the final club to be drawn, moments after AC Milan. Meanwhile, the other Italian club in the competition, Inter Milan, drew Benfica.
After the Quarter-final draw, the draw for the Semi-finals was completed. The winner Quarter-final 4 (AC Milan-Napoli) was drawn to play against the winner of Quarter-final 2 (Inter Milan-Benfica). If Inter Milan advance to the Semi-finals, an Italian club will be guaranteed to play in the final of Europe’s elite competition.
Prior to the draw, Patrick Kluivert was asked who has impressed him or surprised him the most. “Well first of all, all the teams that have qualified for the Quarter-final, they deserved it I think. If I really need to pick one club, it think Napoli. They’re doing a very good thing in the league and they just get their experience in the Champions League. They’ve opened my eyes”
