In a shocking turn of events, Napoli Femminile announced on its official social media pages that the club and Dimitri Lipoff have mutually agreed to terminate the coach’s contract due to differences on the technical and organizational management of the team.
At the same time, the club announced that former technical director Biagio Seno will take over the first team, with the help of Assistant Coach Pasquale Illiano and the entire Napoli Femminile coaching staff.
General Manager Marco Zwingauer commented on the changes.
“We worked with Biagio on this season’s sports project, so he knows perfectly the qualities of our players. For this reason, following the separation from Dimitri Lipoff, we have decided to entrust him with the task of leading the team until the end of the season together with a technical staff that is doing an exceptional job. We will do everything to be protagonists, we believe in it and we will work to obtain as many satisfactions as possible.”
Napoli are currently third in Serie B Femminile, four points behind league leaders Lazio.
