Bereszynski Joins Napoli on Loan with Option to Buy

On Saturday, SSC Napoli announced on its official website that fullback Bartosz Bereszynski has joined the club on loan from UC Sampdoria with a club option to buy. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli can redeem the defender for €1.8 million.

Bereszynski, who is a teammate of Piotr Zielinski on the Poland national team, spent the last six and a half seasons at Sampdoria, where he made 187 appearances in all competitions.

This is the first of three transfers expected between the two clubs. Alessandro Zanoli is expected to join Sampdoria on loan for the balance of the season, while goalkeeper Nikita Contini is expected to return to Napoli to play as the third goalkeeper behind Alex Meret and Salvatore Sirigu.
