Two Napoli players have been called up to the Under 20 Italy national team: Antonio Vergara and Giuseppe Ambrosino. Both players are currently out on loan, the former with Pro Vercelli in Serie C and the latter with Como in Serie B.
Vergara has had a strong start to his professional career, appearing in all 13 of Pro Vercelli’s matches (ten from the first minute). Vergara has played predominantly as one of the two trequartisti in Massimo Paci’s 3-4-2-1 formation, where he has scored two goals and tallied three assists.
Ambrosino, on the other hand, has yet to feature for a Como side that are currently third from the bottom of the Serie B table. However, Serie B is very competitive, with only three points separating Como from 10th-placed Cagliari.
The Azzurini will play two matches during the international break. Italy will face Romania on Thursday, November 17th in Arad at 14:00 EST before hosting the Czech Republic at the Stadio Enzo Ricci in Sassuolo on Monday, November 21st at 09:00 EST.
