On Friday, SSC Napoli confirmed that André-Frank Zambo Anguissa suffered an elongation of the semintendinosus muscle of the right thigh during Napoli’s 4-2 victory over Ajax on Wednesday.
Though the club did not reveal the severity of the injury, Anguissa could be out for several weeks. The Serie A campaign will pause in November for the World Cup, but Napoli play nine matches in all competitions before then:

- November 8, 2022 – Empoli FC
- November 12, 2022 – Udinese
