On Tuesday, Lega Serie A issued Official Communication No. 51 for the seventh round matches of the 2022/23 Serie A campaign contested between September 16th and 18th. These are the words of Sports Judge Gerardo Mastandrea, assisted by Stefania Ginesio and by the representative of the AIA Carlo Moretti:

“Fine of €15,000 to AC Milan club for its supporters, before the start of the match, chanting an insulting chorus of territorial origin towards the supporters of the opposing team, perceived by all the collaborators of the Federal Prosecutor’s Office positioned in the various parts of the stadium; also, at 10 ‘of the second half, to have thrown a half-full plastic bottle, a lighter and a coin on the playing surface.

The fine follows similar sanctions imposed on Hellas Verona FC, ACF Fiorentina and SS Lazio in Napoli’s three previous away fixtures.
