Giacomo Raspadori is officially an SSC Napoli player. On Thursday, the forward finally arrived at Villa Stuart to complete his medicals after a prolonged negotiation for his transfer.
The former Sassuolo forward will join Napoli on a €5 million loan with an obligation to buy for €25 million, plus bonuses. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the transfer fee will be paid in three annual installments.
Additionally, Sassuolo could earn up to €5 million in bonuses: €2 million related to goals and assists and €3 million related to Champions League qualification, both over the term of the 5-year contract. Meanwhile, Raspadori is expected to earn a salary of €2.5 million net.
Born in 2000, Raspadori is a product of the Sassuolo youth system, earning promotion to the senior team in 2019. Now entering his fourth full season in Serie A, Raspadori has consistently improved season over season.

After the signing of Giovanni Simeone, Raspadori will add another weapon to Luciano’s Spalletti’s attack. The forward was used in a variety of positions during his time at Sassuolo: left winger in a 4-3-3; striker or as a number 10 in a 4-2-3-1; and second striker in a front two.
The young man from Bologna has also made 13 appearances for the Italy national team, and is expected to be a fixture in the next generation of the squad.
