On Friday, SSC Napoli officially announced the signing of Tnaguy Ndombele, a day after completing his medicals at Villa Stuart in Rome. The midfielder joins Napoli on a season-long loan from Tottenham Hotspurs.
Napoli will pay €500,000 for the loan and have an option to purchase the midfielder for €30 million. According to CalcioNapoli24, Napoli will pay Ndombele €2.5 million, while Tottenham will cover the balance of his contract.
Ndombele was a record purchase for Tottenham, who acquired the midfielder from Olympique Lyonnais for £63 million in 2019. However, the highly-rated Frenchman failed to live up to expectations, despite accumulating 10 goals and nine assists in 91 appearances in all competitions.
In January 2022, Ndombele was loaned back to Lyon for the balance of the 2021/22 campaign.
