On Tuesday, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis confirmed the acquisition of midfielder/forward Jesper Lindström from Eintrcht Frankfurt.
Lindström landed at Fiumicino Airport in Rome on Monday, with medical examinations planned for Tuesday. According to transfer expert Nico Schira, Lindström will join Napoli on a €5 million loan with option to buy for €2o million, including bonuses.
Frankfurt acquired Lindström for million in 2021 from Danish club Bronby IF, who will reportedly earn 15% of the proceeds of the sale. During his two seasons in Germany, the quick-footed Dane made 80 appearances across all competitions. Lindström scored 14 goals and tallied 14 assists playing predominantly as an attacking midfielder, though he’s also capable of playing on either wing.
Lindström is expected to replace Hirving Lozano, who has been heavily linked to a return to PSV Eindhoven.
