Goalkeeper Yolanda Aguirre has returned to her home country of Spain to play for Sevilla FC Femenine.
Aguirre joined Napoli at the start of the 2021/22 campaign and was a regular starter for the first half of the season. The Spaniard was relegated to the bench for most of the second half of the season after Napoli signed Rachele Baldi in January.
Aguirre made 13 appearances for Napoli, conceding 23 goals and collecting three clean shots along the way.
The goalkeeper happily returned to Spain, where she spent eight seasons prior to joining Napoli: four with FF La Solana from 2014 to 2017; and four with Santa Teresa CD from 2017 to 2021.
“I am very happy and very enthusiastic about this project and I am very excited. For me it is a great opportunity to return to Spain, in the Spanish league. I want to start training immediately and see the project we have prepared. I go back more mature, mentally and football wise, and feeling at home is one of the most important things.”
