On Thursday, Napoli Femminile lost 2-0 to Fiorentina in their third and final friendly match in preparation for the 2023/24 campaign. The club provided a summary of the match on their official Facebook page.
“The friendly match at the Torrini Stadium between La Viola and Napoli Femminile – the first test of the season against a Serie A club – finished 2-0 in favour of Fiorentina. The Tuscan side scored one goal in each half, taking the lead at the dawn of the match on a penalty kick converted by Kajan before doubling their lead in the second half. Seno was without Giai and Verriti, but got a good indication [of the squad’s abilities] ahead of the start of the season (beginning with the Coppa Italia match against RES Roma VIII on Sunday the 16th).”
