On Sunday, Alessandro Spavone posted a temporary farewell to Napoli on Instagram, after 11 years in the club’s youth system.
“I want to start from the first day, from the first time I wore the shirt of my dreams…I was just a shy and insecure child who, in all these years, has always tried to give his all for the team he loves. Now the time has come to “fly” alone, certain of being able to return to my Napoli with greater experience and awareness of what I can do. After 11 years I’m leaving Napoli for the first time. But it’s only till we meet again. Your scugnizzo.”
The 19-year-old is expected to join Pro Vercelli on a season-long loan. The Serie C club has a good relationship with Napoli, having loaned Coli Saco and Antonio Vergara from the Partenopei last season.
