Giuseppe Ambrosino played 56 minutes in Italy’s U20 World Cup Final against Uruguay on Sunday. Despite the 1-0 defeat, 19-year-old’s stock continues to rise. A product of the Napoli youth system, Ambrosino featured in in six of Italy’s seven matches, all from the first minute.
Ambrosino, who just completed his first professional season on loan at Como and Cittadella in Serie B, scored a goal and added two assists in the tournament. Born in Procida, the Neapolitan also won the free kick that Simone Pafundi converted to see Italy move past South Korea and into the Final.
