On Saturday, SSC Napoli announced via a statement on the club’s official website that Juan Jesus has further extended his contract. The central defender will remain a Napoli player until the end of the 2024/25 campaign, with a club option to extend for an additional two years. Should the club exercise its option, Jesus will be 36 years old by the end of his contract.
Jesus took to social media to express his gratitude.
I’m happy, the renewal means a lot to me. I don’t want to say much now because I’m focused on the season finale and the work that remains. There will be time for it at the end of the year. For now, I want to thank the president, the club, everyone, from the director to everyone else, the coach, the staff, my teammates and truly the whole city and the fans.
Thank you for trusting me and making me feel at home from day one. Thanks also to my attorney, Roberto, who led me to experience this beautiful reality and thanks to everyone who accompanied me on this adventure: family and friends. Last year, at the end of the year, I said the dream hadn’t ended but only just begun. Today I say that that dream is more alive than ever and will still last for a long time. Batjuan stays in Gotham…um…Napoli City!”
