On Thursday, La Albiceleste announced via their official social media channels that Giovanni Simeone has been called to the squad for Argentina’s friendlies in March. El Cholito will be in Lionel Scalloni’s squad for Argentina’s matches against Panama and Curaçao on March 23rd and March 28th, respectively.
Simeone has five caps with La Albiceleste and scored a goal in Argentina’s 3-0 victory over Guatemala in September of 2018. His last cap was in November of 2018, where he played 15 minutes off the bench in a friendly against Mexico.
