Napoli CF Sign Spanish Striker Elisa del Estal Mateu

On Wednesday, Napoli Femminile announced the signing of striker Elisa del Estal Mateu. Born in 1993, the Santander-native boasts a long track record of scoring goals, both in the Spanish Liga but also for short period in South Korea.

After two seasons in Albacete, Elisa del Estal moved to Espanyol of Barcelona, where she scored 23 goals in three-and-a-half seasons, including double-digit goals during the 2018-2019 campaign.

In the middle of the 2019/2020 season she moved to the Red Angels Incheon in South Korea, where she scored 8 goals. The following season, Elisa del Estal returned to Spain to play with Sevilla. There, the Spaniard scored ten goals in 28 appearances.

After terminating her contract early in the current La Liga campaign, Elisa del Estal is excited about a new challenge in Napoli.

“I am delighted to wear the Azzurri shirt and to face this new adventure, the first here in Europe far from my beloved Spain. The club courted me for a long time, at the same time I carefully studied the project for Napoli Feminine and so I convinced myself to accept what will be an intriguing challenge for me. I found a good climate and a united group, which also includes my compatriot Sara Tui. I will do everything to help achieve the goal that Napoli Feminine has set for itself this season.”
