Garnier to Chicago Red Stars

On July 2nd, the Chicago Red Stars announced the signing of ex-Napoli central defender Emily Garnier. With the move, Garnier returns home to the United States of America.

Prior to moving to Europe, the Colorado native played for four years with the Colorado School of Mines. During her time there, Garnier won the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year.

Garnier, who made 19 appearances in her lone season at Napoli, joins a Red Star team who currently sit third in the National Women’s Soccer League table. Garnier has yet to feature in a match since joining Chicago.
