On Monday, Napoli Femminile confirmed the renewal of forward Romina Pinna. Pinna arrived in Napoli in December 2021 and scored three goals in nine appearances, including a brace in Napoli’s 2-1 victory over Hellas Verona on February 26, 2022.
The announcement comes a day after the Partenopee confirmed that midfielder Sara Tui wear the blue shirt again in 2022/23.
“I didn’t want to leave Napoli with the disappointment of relegation and consequently I chose to stay in the blue shirt to try to live a different season”
Despite the relegation, Pinna is now the fourth Napoli Femminile player to confirm her stay at Napoli. On July 7th, the club confirmed that Napoli’s loan Napoletana player, Paola Di Marino, will be a Napoli player for the 14th consecutive year. Di Marino will likely wear the captain’s armband.
A day later, Napoli confirmed that midfielder Claudia Mauri will remain at Napoli as well. Mauri joined Napoli in January after playing with Milan for two and a half seasons.
