Serie C club F.C. Pro Vercelli 1892 have signed two Napoli Primavera players on loan.
The Piemontese club won the race for Antonio Vergara amidst interest from numerous clubs, including Cesena, Pescara and Vis Pesaro. Born in 2003, Vergara was arguably Napoli U19’s best player in 2021/22.
In his breakout season, Vergara scored two goals and added 13 assists in all competitions, despite missing five matches due to a hip injury.
In addition to Vergara, Pro Vercelli have also loaned midfielder Coli Saco from Napoli. Born in 2002, Saco joined Napoli on a free transfer in 2021 after being released by AC Milan. The 1.97 meter tall Frenchman scored five goals and added three assists in 2021/22, including a goal in each of Napoli U19’s relegation playout matches against Genoa.
